In August 2017, the Canada-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement (CUFTA) came into force. In November 2018, Mykhailofounded the non-profit Association of the Canadian Ukrainian Free Trade Agreement. Its goal is to provide a solid business bridge between Ukrainian and Alberta companies to deepen trade linkages, business opportunities, and bilateral relationships between Ukraine and Alberta. It assists both countries’ business communities navigate CUFTA to achieve mutual prosperity.
Ukraine is a promising emerging market in exports as well as imports. The Association of Canadian Ukrainian Free Trade Agreement supports Ukrainian-Canadian businesses by deepening trade ties and further strengthening the bilateral relationship between the two countries. Mykhailo serves as President of the Association and has built a team that understands trade regulation and has business expertise, to assist members in taking advantage of the benefits of CUFTA.
